Job summary

NABRICO Marine Products in Caruthersville, MO seeks a Career Fitter to layout, position, align, and fit metal parts for welding in our barge plant. You will inspect tack-welds and prepare parts per blueprints and sketches, working with oxy-fuel torches and basic measuring tools.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints or specifications.
• Must pass a tackers test using an oxy-fuel cutting torch.
• Able to read a tape measure and perform simple math with fractions.
• Able to climb ladders or stairs and work at heights.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints or other specifications.
• May operate overhead crane.
• Measure to specifications; cut and wash with torch (Oxy Fuel).
• Tack-Weld
• Identify parts for assembly in proper order
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned
