Job summary

SHFP. is hiring Fire Sprinkler Fitters to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of fire protection systems across commercial and residential sites.

The role collaborates with foremen and team members, adheres to safety protocols, and handles tools and equipment efficiently in fast-paced environments. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of sprinkler experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to read blueprints; NICET certification is a plus.

Position Overview

Team members will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire protection systems.

• This role requires working closely with the foreman and team members, following all safety protocols, and properly handling tools and equipment.
• Work will be performed in commercial and residential buildings.

We are seeking highly motivated, dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented individuals who can multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Lift at least 50 pounds
• Climb ladders and perform physical tasks including sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching above and below shoulders, and walking for extended periods
• Drive to job sites and work at various locations
• Submit written job progress reports for assigned projects
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members
• Read and interpret construction blueprints and diagrams
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Properly maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools
• Attend and participate in training sessions and meetings
• Install, assemble, and trim fire protection systems

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum 1 year experience installing sprinkler or fire protection systems
• Blueprint reading experience

License / Certification

• Valid Driver’s License (Required) – Must have a clean driving record
• NICET Level I or II (Preferred)
• Completion of an accredited industry training program (Preferred)
• OSHA 10, Lift, Tool & CPVC Pipe Certifications (Preferred but not required)

Travel Requirement

• Up to 100% travel to job sites
