Job summary

Danos in Houma, LA seeks a Pipe Fitter (Fabrication) for our fabrication yard. Schedule: Mon-Fri with weekends as needed; location: Houma, LA. Role involves laying out, aligning, and securing piping and structural components per blueprints, with offshore fabrication experience valued.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of fabrication experience, understands ISO and P&IDs, and adheres to safety protocols. This full-time position emphasizes hands-on skill and safe workmanship.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fabrication experience.
• Able to interpret ISO's and P&IDs.
• Able to fabricate/install pipe supports.
• Verify spool dimension.
• Able to hydro-test and reinstate.
• Able to cut with a torch.
• Experience with safe work habits.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align and secure parts for welding and bolt-up.
• Measure, mark, cut, bore, fit and install piping/structural components per blueprints and job specs.
• Follow fitting procedures used in offshore fabrication of jackets, decks, heliports, and production facilities.
• Participate in JSA's and all other Safety, Health and Environmental Processes.
• Conduct behavioral based safety observations.

OVERVIEW:

Job Title: Pipe Fitter (Fabrication)
Schedule: Monday - Friday (weekends as needed)
Location: Fabrication yard, Houma, LA

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lay out, position, align and secure parts for welding and bolt-up.
• Measure, mark, cut, bore, fit and/or install various piping/structural components in accordance with blueprints and job specifications using hand and power tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders/benders, etc.
• Follow fitting procedures and principles used in fabrication of offshore jackets, decks, heliports, and production facilities
• Participate in JSA's and all other Safety, Health and Environmental Processes.
• Conduct behavioral based safety observations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 or more years of prior fabrication experience
• Able to interpret ISO's and P&ID's
• Able to fabricate/install pipe supports
• Verify spool dimension
• Perform system walk-down to validate proper installation
• Able to hydro-test and reinstate
• Able to cut with a torch
• Experience using safe work habits

Candidates will be required to pass:

• Written Fitter & ISO Assessment
• Hands-on Fitter test
