Performance Energy Services, LLC seeks a Fabrication Shop Helper in Houma, LA. The role supports fabrication yard operations, including pipe rigging, crane operations, and assembly tasks. The candidate will work with the team to ensure safety and efficiency in daily activities.

The position requires 2+ years of fabrication experience, familiarity with crane signaling, and proactive safety practices. Opportunities for development and a strong benefits package are offered.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate with QC on scanning and data books.
• Rigging large-bore and small-bore pipe.
• Operate cranes, cherry picker, and forklift.
• Work at heights, pull spools into racks.
• Rigging and setting large structures on land and over water onto vessels.
• Operate overhead crane and perform lifting operations safely.
• Assemble pipe spools by bolting flange connections.
• Assist welders and fitters with pipes and fittings; use hand tools.

OVERVIEW:

Job Title: Fabrication Shop Helper
Schedule: Monday – Friday (weekends as needed)
Location: Fabrication yard, Houma, LA

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate with QC on scanning and data books.

Rigging large-bore and small-bore pipe

Working with cranes, cherry picker, and forklift operations

Working at heights, pulling spools into racks

Rigging and setting large structures on land and over water onto vessels.

Operates overhead crane
Assume a safe position during lifting operations and be aware of the position of others
Assemble pipe spools by bolt up flange connections
Assist welders and fitters with assembly of pipe & pipe fittings and operates hand tools such as jacks, coma-longs, grinders, drills, etc…
Stenciling and tagging
Complete daily visual inspections and minor maintenance to ensure equipment is in proper working condition.
Lubricates machinery and equipment
Splices and repairs cables and ropes
Participate in daily JSEA planning discussion
Proper PPE selection and usage
Conduct behavioral based safety observations
Understands and uses Stop Work Authority

QUALIFICATIONS:

2 or more years of prior fabrication experience
Knowledge of crane hand signals
Selects correct rigging as per weight and balance loads
Experience using safe work habits

Candidates will be required to pass:
Written Rigger Assessment
Welding Certified Tacker test
