Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Beaman Trainer 2 position is for nationally certified trainers with an NCCA-accredited certification. The role involves providing personal training and wellness education services to the Belmont community.

Duties Include:

• Safely and effectively guide clients through workouts using proper form and spotting techniques.
• Facilitate wellness education programming for community members.
• Maintain accurate training records, including session notes and logs.
• Educate clients on the proper use of cardiovascular and strength training equipment.
• Build positive relationships with clients.
• Attend reunions, CEUs, trainings, and other developmental programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The physical requirements for this role include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, and lifting loads of 20-50 pounds. Vision must be adequate for reading and computer use, and the employee must be able to communicate effectively.

Required Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of fitness programming, proper form, client interaction, and exercise prescription.
• Ability to design evidence-based exercise programs within scope of practice.
• Ability to administer fitness assessments.

Required Education: Must be enrolled as a current student at Belmont University.

Required Experience: NCCA-accredited personal training certification is required; previous experience is preferred.
