Job description

Fitness Trainer, Sports Core

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Kohler, WI

Do you have a passion for fitness? Does the thought of instructing and assisting facility users with fitness equipment, and promoting lifestyle programs appeal to you? If so, then join the team at the Sports Core as a Fitness Trainer, where your hard work and customer service skills will be appreciated and recognized!

As a Fitness Trainer for Sports Core, you will be responsible for:

  1. Promoting and performing lifestyle programs, assessments, and personal training services according to Sports Core standards.
  2. Performing fitness services with minimal direction, including body fat testing (calipers and Microfit), girth measurements, weight, cardiovascular step test, sit/reach flexibility testing, and strength testing.
  3. Promoting, designing, and performing long-term personal training programs according to the needs and goals of healthy, average adults.
  4. Effectively demonstrating and assisting facility users with fitness equipment in all fitness and training areas according to quality standards.
  5. Maintaining accurate member and personal client records according to standard operating procedures.
  6. Assisting with set-up, cleaning, and preventative maintenance for all fitness-related equipment (weight benches, racks, Spinning bikes, and any pool needs).

This is a Full Time position, working primarily between 5:00 am and 7:00 pm weekdays and weekends.

Skills/Requirements

  1. Minimum of a BS Degree in a related field and experience through an accredited internship program.
  2. CPR certification required; first-aid certification preferred.
  3. Training in aerobic instruction or recreation helpful.
  4. ACE, AFFA, ACSM or related national certifications required within one year of employment.
  5. Candidate must possess a friendly demeanor and above-average communication skills needed to interact effectively with members and the general public.

The competitive commission range for this position may be influenced by a variety of factors. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
