Planet Fitness PF Baseline Fitness in West Des Moines, IA is seeking a full-time Trainer to lead the PE@PF group fitness program and help members reach their goals by designing simple workouts and teaching proper equipment use.

You will consult with members, promote class sign-ups, update exercise routines bi-weekly, assist with front desk tasks including check-ins and tours, and maintain club cleanliness. A fitness trainer certification is required and strong customer service is essential.

• Meet class requirements based on club size and traffic.
• Assist at front desk: answer calls, check-ins, and tours.
• Update member accounts and sign up new members.
• Respond to member questions promptly and escalate when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the club.

Job Summary

Responsible for running the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF). This includes assisting new members in the achievement of their fitness goals by designing a simple workout program and instructing them on the proper use of equipment.

• Conduct and run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, including creating and following the schedule.
• Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on how to use the equipment properly and safely.
• Creating creative and unique ways to promote PE@PF class sign-ups.
• Create bi-weekly updates consisting of a variety of exercises.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
• Assist in front desk related activities including:
  • Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
  • Check members into the system.
  • New member sign-up.
  • Take potential members on tours.
  • Changing/updating member account information
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Team Lead, MIT or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain the neatness/cleanliness of the club.
• Assist in cleanliness and appearance of club.

Physical Demands

• Standing and walking at least 75% of the shift
• Talking in person or on the phone at least 75% of the shift
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. less than 30% of the time.
