Job Summary
The Fitness Trainer will be responsible for running the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF). This includes assisting new members in achieving their fitness goals by designing simple workout programs and instructing them on the proper use of equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruiting new and existing members to take classes.
- Logging classes after each session.
- Actively assisting members on walk-arounds.
- Cleaning assigned section of equipment each shift.
- Locker room checks every 15 minutes, beginning and end of shift.
- Be a brand ambassador by leading a Judgement Free lifestyle.
- Uphold rules and policies in the facility.
- Conduct and run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, including creating and following the schedule.
- Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on proper and safe equipment use.
- Create bi-weekly updates with a variety of exercises.
- Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
- Assist in front desk activities such as answering phones, checking members in, new member sign-up, and tours.
- Respond to member questions and concerns professionally and escalate as needed.
Certification Requirements (within two weeks of employment):
Additional Training:
- Training on tours, info calls, Datatrak, customer service, and Planet Fitness University courses.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- High school diploma / GED required.
- CPR certification required.
- Nationally credited training certification required.
- Must be 18 or older.
- Punctuality and flexibility for overtime, weekends, evenings, and holidays.

- Passion for fitness and health.
- Upbeat, positive attitude, reliable, and punctual.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills.

Physical Demands:
- Standing and walking during shifts.
- Talking in person or on the phone.
- Occasionally lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, pulling, grasping.
- Never put oneself under equipment.
