Reporting to the Regional Fitness Manager, the Fitness Trainer will be responsible for running the Planet Fitness group program (PE@PF) while supporting the club manager to drive member retention and club revenue. This includes assisting new members in the achievement of their fitness goals by designing a simple workout program and instructing them on the proper use of equipment.

Skills Required
  • Customer Service: Communicates and interacts with members (as well as potential members) in a way that exceeds expectations.
  • Listening: Listen to staff and members. View the situation from everyone's perspective working together to resolve the issue.
  • Problem Solving: Recognize and define the problem. Provide solutions using all resources available.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct and run the PE@PF program: This requires fitness consultations and introducing members to the benefit of our program.
  • Assist members on the gym floor with proper use of equipment and engage to peak interest in PE@PF program.
  • Assist club staff in maintaining cleanliness of club. This includes: 30 minute circuit room, PF 360 area and continuous racking/re-rack of weights as needed.
  • As needed support for front desk (e.g.- check-in members, club tours, info calls and greeting).
  • Maintain participation log of each facilitated class to monitor PE@PF program performance.
  • Maintain accredited certifications throughout employment: Personal Training and CPR.
  • Complete company assigned trainings and additional learning as directed.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Reach and feel with hands, fingers, and arms 75% of shift.
  • Talk with members and staff.
  • Regular bending and squatting.
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull at least 100 pounds.
