Job summary

Brooksby Village by Erickson Senior Living is seeking a Personal & Group Fitness Trainer to lead group fitness classes and provide individualized programs for senior residents. This full-time role emphasizes safety, engagement, and compassionate care in a thriving retirement community.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year related work experience.
• Current CPR/First Aid certifications.
• Experience in evaluating fitness programs for seniors is a plus.
• Personal Training Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments for residents.
• Design and implement individualized exercise programs including flexibility, strength, and cardio.
• Instruct residents on safe exercise techniques.

We're looking for an enthusiastic Fitness Specialist to join our team - no sales, upselling, or quotas required. Just bring your energy, expertise, and heart for making a difference!

Compensation: commensurate with experience $20-$22/ hour

How you will make an impact

• Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments to evaluate residents' current health and functional abilities.
• Design and implement individualized exercise programs incorporating flexibility, strength training, and cardiovascular conditioning.
• Instruct and educate members on proper exercise techniques to ensure safety and maximize results.
• Support the coordination and delivery of community-wide wellness programs and initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fitness environment for all residents.
• Foster positive relationships with residents and staff, motivating and encouraging active lifestyles.
• Assist in the daily operations of the Aquatic Center, including performing required water testing and safety checks.
• Lead engaging group exercise classes tailored to varying ability levels.
• Provide specialized training for clients with diverse medical conditions and cognitive impairments.

What you will need

• Minimum of 1-year related work experience
• Current CPR/First Aid certifications.
• Experience in evaluating fitness programs for seniors is a plus.
• Personal Training Experience preferred
