Position Summary
Do you want to change lives? At Live 2 B Healthy, our Fitness Trainers do exactly that! As the beating heart of our program, trainers inspire older adults in senior living communities to stay active, build strength, and maintain independence through safe, engaging, and meaningful fitness experiences. In this role, you’ll lead energizing group classes while also providing personalized support through 1-on-1 and small group training sessions. Responsibilities
- Lead Meaningful Group Fitness Experiences: Bring energy, encouragement, and purpose to every class. Facilitate engaging on-site fitness sessions for older adults, focusing on functional movement, balance, strength, and mobility while creating an uplifting atmosphere.
- Provide Personalized Coaching & Support: Deliver 1-on-1 and small group training sessions tailored to each participant’s goals, abilities, and comfort level. Help residents progress at their own pace while celebrating milestones.
- Champion Safety, Comfort & Inclusivity: Create an environment where every participant feels supported. Monitor exercises, offer modifications, and ensure safe participation.
- Build Genuine Relationships: Connect personally with residents, bring compassion, patience, and positivity, and foster trust with staff and community leaders.
- Deliver Excellence Through Our Program Standards: Follow Live 2 B Healthy’s training protocols and curriculum to ensure every class delivers a high-quality experience.
- Communicate & Celebrate Progress: Track attendance and feedback, share updates with the Fitness Program Manager, and communicate program needs or scheduling concerns.
Qualifications
- Experience in senior fitness, personal training, group fitness, or rehab-based exercise.
- Current nationally recognized fitness certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, AFAA, or equivalent).
- Current CPR/AED certification (required).
- Warm, positive, and supportive approach with ability to build trust and motivate participants of all ability levels.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to travel to assigned communities with reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with private clients or small group training.
- Background in working with seniors or within senior living communities.
- Understanding of age-related conditions and how to safely modify exercises.
Compensation
- Hourly pay based on experience and certifications.
