Responsibilities
About the Fitness Trainer Role:As a Fitness Trainer, you will operate the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF). Your responsibilities include:
- Creating class schedules for members, including Orientation and DYOP (Develop your own program).
- Engaging proactively with members on the club floor regarding their fitness goals; instructing on equipment use and providing support.
- Promoting our Judgement Free Zone by connecting with members, offering assistance, and supporting their fitness journeys while upholding club policies.
- Conducting regular walks of all fitness areas to ensure a great member experience and addressing issues promptly.
- Performing prospective member calls and tours, assessing their needs, and offering Trainer services.
Daily duties may also include:
- Greeting members/guests and assisting with questions or concerns during check-in.
- Answering phones courteously and assisting callers.
- Cleaning and sanitizing all exercise equipment and amenities regularly.
- Ensuring restrooms are clean, stocked, and clutter-free following the routine schedule.
Qualifications
About Your Qualifications:- 6-12 months of customer service experience preferred.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Willing to obtain CPR/AED certification (training provided).
- Nationally Certified Training Certificate required.
- Basic computer skills.
Physical Demands:- Standing and moving throughout the club during shifts.
- Communicating in person or on the phone frequently.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Exposure to chemicals during shifts.
- Regular cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
- Moving and positioning oneself in various postures, including bending and twisting.
