Job summary

COUNTRY CLUB OF MOBILE INC. seeks a Fitness Technician to oversee daily fitness-center operations, including the upstairs Weight and Aerobics Room and downstairs locker room. You’ll ensure equipment maintenance and deliver exceptional member service.

The role requires punctuality, strong communication, and the ability to work independently as the first contact for injuries. Responsibilities include front desk tasks, locker room upkeep, towel management, and closing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversees front desk operations including phones, messages, and scheduling services.
• Answers member questions about equipment use and facilities.
• Maintains locker rooms and cleans as part of daily routine.
• Stocks supplies for locker rooms and towels; handles laundry coordination.
• Ensures weight room is tidy and equipment stored properly.
• Completes closing duties, tally sheets, and turns off lights and appliances.
• Re-stocks drinks and maintains service standards in line with CCM values.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Fitness Technician oversees the daily operations of the fitness center. This includes the upstairs Weight and Aerobics Room and downstairs locker room. This role ensures proper equipment maintenance and provides exceptional customer service to our members.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• None

Duties/Responsibilities

• Oversees the front desk, which includes answering phones, taking messages, and scheduling massages.
• Answers member questions regarding the use of equipment.
• Maintains neatness in the locker rooms.
• Stocks and supplies locker rooms.
• Folds and stocks all towels correctly and takes dirty towels to laundry.
• Maintains neatness in the weight room and puts away any unused weights.
• Performs all closing and cleaning duties required to make the facility ready for the next day, including completing and submitting the total daily tally sheet, turning off appliances (tv, stereo, etc.) and lights, turning off steam rooms, emptying trash, and locking doors.
• Oversees front drinks and re-stocks if necessary.
• Follows CCM mission and values, including providing the best quality service possible. “Service with a Smile” is a key element in providing a positive experience.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities

• Must be punctual.
• Excellent communication skills.
• First point of contact for injuries so must be able to work independently.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or 2 year’s equivalent.
• American Red Cross certified in lifesaving as well as how to operate an AED or automated external defibrillator.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to and including 80 lbs., with or without accommodation.
• Requires long periods of time standing, walking stairs, frequent bending, crouching, kneeling and reaching.
