Job summary

A senior living organization in Dallas is seeking a part-time Geriatric Fitness Specialist to assess and develop fitness programs for residents. This role involves performing fitness assessments, prescribing exercise routines, and building relationships with residents to promote physical activity. The ideal candidate has relevant experience and current CPR/First Aid certifications. Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year related work experience.
• Current CPR/First Aid certifications.
• Experience in evaluating fitness programs for seniors is a plus.
• Personal Training Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform fitness assessments which include vital signs.
• Prescribe an appropriate exercise program, including flexibility, strength, and cardiovascular training.
• Educate and evaluate members on proper exercise techniques.
• Assist with coordination and implementation of Wellness programs.
• Maintain a clean and safe fitness area for members.
• Build strong relationships with residents and staff, encouraging them to be physically active.

Join our team as a part-time (25 hours per week) Geriatric Fitness Specialist to join our team. The Fitness Specialist will assess, monitor, and develop individual fitness programs for residents.

Compensation: Commensurate upon experience with a range between $18.00 to $20.00 per hour.
