Job description

Join to apply for the Fitness Manager role at Genesis Health Clubs.

This position will oversee all aspects of the Personal Training department for a designated Genesis location, including recruiting, hiring, scheduling, and training new personal trainers. The role also involves ensuring the profitability of the personal training program by overseeing new member engagement, department goals, and customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the training and education of personal training staff.
  • Maintain flexible scheduling to meet members' and club's needs.
  • Track and report new member consultations and personal training sessions.
  • Meet regularly with the Club Manager to discuss operations.
  • Complete profitability and goal reports weekly and monthly for review.
  • Ensure timely completion of required documentation.
  • Inspect trainers for proper follow-up with new members.
  • Maintain equipment and update online tracking for repairs.
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations.
  • Perform duties as necessary or assigned, including those of personal trainers.
  • Comply with all staff policies.

  • Contribute to developing strategies supporting departmental goals.

  • Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Hold a recognized personal training and CPR certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift up to 35+ pounds.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and staff.
