Job Description

STGi is seeking qualified candidates to support our Wellness and Health Promotion Services contract with Federal Occupational Health as a Health Fitness Instructor in White Oak, Maryland.

Responsibilities

1. Instruct regularly scheduled group fitness classes, including:

• Mind/body classes (Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, etc.)
• Specialty classes (Cycle, Zumba, Les Mills, etc.)
• General classes focusing on strength, cardiovascular health, or core

Instruct at various intensity levels for participants of all skill levels.

Administrative Tasks

• Start classes on time and prepare the necessary equipment.
• For virtual classes, log in early to verify connectivity and setup.
• Ensure professional attire and appropriate setting for virtual classes.
• Notify managers when substitutions are needed.
• Report attendance and assist with safety incident reports.

Customer Service

• Manage complaints professionally and escalate concerns when necessary.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficiency in group fitness instruction.
• Excellent communication skills.
• National certification in group fitness for general classes; additional certifications for specialty classes preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in group fitness instruction for specialty formats preferred.
• Current CPR/AED certification for on-site classes.
