The "Shenandoah Club" campus includes the Lodge, Athletic Club, and Shoreline Outfitter, with over 36,000 sq ft of indoor space, lakeside veranda, and patio. The restaurant, Region's 117, and the Shenandoah Events Center are open to the public.

Pay

Non-Teaching Rate - $15/hr, Teaching Rate - $30/class

Position Overview

The Fitness Instructor develops and leads fitness classes, trains members on equipment, and supports a healthy lifestyle. Reports to the Spa & Fitness Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent member and guest experience by adhering to BlueStar Principles and policies.
• Monitor facility safety and security.
• Create and lead engaging, safe fitness classes for all levels.
• Assist members in selecting suitable fitness routines.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients.
• Report incidents and participate in facility events.
• Promote additional facility services and treatments.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment.
• Assist with equipment setup and facility maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year experience and instruction experience preferred.
• Current First Aid, CPR/AED certifications.
• Group fitness certification and experience with 55+ audiences preferred.
• Computer skills and ability to demonstrate equipment use.
• Lift up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to lead classes and communicate effectively.
• Stay current with industry trends.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends; some travel.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Indoor fitness rooms, moderate to loud noise. Requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting up to 45 lbs, and good vision.
