We are seeking enthusiastic and qualified instructors and personal trainers to join our team at a vibrant community center serving individuals of all ages. Ideal candidates will have experience leading group fitness classes or providing one-on-one training, with specific qualifications in areas such as aquatic fitness, strength training, senior-focused classes (e.g., SilverSneakers), and dance fitness formats such as Zumba. Morning hours are currently available, making this a great opportunity for fitness professionals who enjoy creating positive, engaging experiences for community members in a supportive and energetic environment.

Location: Kroc Center, Phoenix, AZ

Status: Part-Time / Non-Exempt

Hourly Rate of Pay: $28.13

Qualifications
  • Must be able to design high-quality, up-to-date, scientifically sound, safe, and effective Group Fitness Classes for a variety of student ability levels.
  • Must uphold the scope and practice of fitness professionals.
  • Must comply with all applicable laws.
  • Must uphold and enhance public appreciation and trust in the fitness industry.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all client information.
  • Maintain a drug and alcohol-free work environment.
  • Effective communication skills with clientele and staff.
  • Ability to reach class participant minimums.
  • Positive team leadership and supervision skills.
  • Energetic and positive interaction with coworkers and participants.
  • Maintain a non-judgmental attitude.
  • Professional attitude and problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Work well in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
  • Empathy and communication skills with low-income and vulnerable populations.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Possess and maintain at least 2 current certificates in specific class formats (e.g., Les Mills, Pilates, Yoga, Aqua Zumba).
  • At least 3 years’ prior experience teaching Group Fitness Classes.
  • Proficiency in instructing various groups of different fitness levels.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform essential duties with or without accommodations. Regular walking, standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, lifting up to 20 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 75 pounds occasionally. Visual abilities include close, distance, color, and depth perception. Ability to operate a telephone, computer, and access information is required.
