Join Our Team as a Fitness Instructor for Power Plus

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Fitness Instructor to lead Power Plus (strength, REB3L Strength, or other strength-focused group fitness classes) on Saturdays from 8:00 to 8:55 am at the South Suburban Park and Recreation District.

Position Details:

  • Part-Time
  • Hourly Rate: $24.15 - $32.05
  • Application Deadline: Ongoing, rolling review of applications

Role Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and lead safe, effective, and engaging group fitness classes for participants of various fitness levels.
  • Create a positive and motivating environment for all participants.
  • Ensure safety and proper technique during classes.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in specialty fitness instruction.
  • First Aid certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of exercise science, nutrition, and wellness.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Understanding of fitness programming principles and practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current Group Fitness Certification from an accepted national certifying organization, maintained through CECs.
  • CPR/AED certification.
