JOB SUMMARY: As an Abbey Resort associate, you will be part of an incredible team at an all-service resort on the shores of Geneva Lake. We seek individuals committed to exceeding guest expectations by creating lasting memories, maintaining a positive attitude, and providing outstanding service.

BASIC FUNCTION: Lead and instruct guests safely through scheduled fitness classes, including orientations of fitness equipment and personal training sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, knowledge, training, and work experience include:

• Water Aerobics Certification preferred through ASFA, ACE, or other recognized bodies
• Current first aid and CPR certification
• Lifeguard certification for aquatic classes
• Ability to demonstrate exercises physically
• Knowledge of the class or program taught, including fundamentals

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provide personal training consultations
• Lead classes such as water aerobics, circuit training, weight training, stretching, yoga, Pilates, and others as deemed appropriate
• Lead group classes for events if required
• Maintain and clean equipment and facilities
• Stay current with certifications and exercise knowledge

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

• Interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
• Perform other tasks as assigned
• Work hours may vary based on business needs, including holidays, weekends, shifts, overtime, or reduced hours

ENVIRONMENT: Spa setting and fitness room, well-lit, ventilated, temperature-controlled, with hard surface floors.
