Job summary

Summit Place Senior Campus, a SilverCrest Community, in Eden Prairie, MN, seeks a Fitness Leader to run personal training and group classes for residents in the gym and pool. You will be the wellness expert, designing programs to help residents manage chronic conditions, prevent falls, recover strength, and stay active with familiar faces.

You will lead land and water sessions, tailor plans for various abilities, and work closely with nursing, therapy, and life enrichment teams to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Therapeutic Recreation, or related field preferred.
• Certifications such as ACE, ACSM, NASM, AEA, or Arthritis Foundation aquatic training are a plus.
• Experience leading both personal training and group fitness, on land and in water.
• Experience with older adults or special populations strongly preferred.
• Current CPR/AED certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

$20–$22/hour + $3,000 Retention Bonus | Full-Time, Tue–Sat | Eden Prairie, MN

Are you a certified fitness professional who loves helping older adults stay strong, mobile, and independent? Summit Place Senior Campus, a SilverCrest Community, is looking for a Fitness Leader to run personal training and group classes for our residents, both in the gym and in the pool.

You’ll be the go-to wellness expert on our campus, designing programs that help residents manage chronic conditions, prevent falls, recover strength, and enjoy moving again. You’ll see the results firsthand, because you’ll work with the same people week after week.

What You’ll Do

• Lead group fitness classes on land and in the water, adapting every session for a range of abilities and health conditions (such as balance, strength, chair-based, and water aerobics classes)
• Provide one-on-one personal training, including fitness assessments and individualized plans
• Design programs for residents with arthritis, joint replacements, Parkinson’s, heart conditions, and other special-population needs
• Track progress and adjust programs so residents can see and feel their improvement
• Coordinate with nursing, therapy, and life enrichment teams as appropriate

What You’ll Bring

Pay & Schedule

• $20–$22/hour, based on experience
• $3,000 retention bonus: $1,000 each at 6, 12, and 18 months
• Full-time, Tuesday–Saturday: Tue–Fri [typical hours, e.g., 8:00 am–4:30 pm]
