Job summary

Indiana University Health in Muncie, IN is seeking compassionate individuals to lead safe, inclusive group fitness classes for participants of varying abilities. You will provide modifications and safety cues to help everyone stay active and engaged.

An Associate's Degree is required, along with a valid Indiana driver’s license and Basic Life Support certification. Prior fitness instruction experience is preferred, and a professional, friendly demeanor is expected in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent years of experience.
• May require a valid Indiana driver's license and proof of insurance.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Some experience in fitness instruction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe and effective group fitness classes for varying ability levels.
• Provide appropriate exercise modifications and safety cues.
• Maintain a friendly, professional, and inclusive atmosphere.
• Speak clearly so all participants can follow instructions.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe exercise environment.
• Attend quarterly Be Well meetings.
• Stay current on IU Health communications, required training, and continuing education.
• Dress professionally

Location: 3300 W. Community Dr. Muncie, IN.

Shift Hours: 6+ hours per week; Primary Need: Late morning aquatic classes and coverage for land-based fitness classes

Requirements
