Flexibility in scheduling is required to accommodate morning, daytime, and evening classes. The position emphasizes safety, customer service and effective communication with students and staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in exercise science or related field with 2,000 hours of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field with 4,000 hours of related experience.
• Associate degree in related field with 8,000 hours of related experience.
• Current Heartsaver CPR certification.
• Pre-employment post-offer physical exam required.
• Maintain accreditation or relevant certification if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses related to physical fitness and lifelong wellness.
• Prepare and deliver lectures, develop course content and assess learning.
• Provide academic guidance and class modifications for all skill levels.
• Instruct high-quality health and human performance classes as scheduled.
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment; address emergencies promptly.
• Demonstrate strong communication, leadership and organizational skills.
