Job summary

HealthFitness is seeking an on-call Fitness Floor Attendant to join our client's corporate fitness center in Horsham, PA. The role involves greeting members, ensuring equipment safety, and maintaining a clean facility while leveraging basic computer skills to manage member data.

The position requires CPR/AED & First Aid certifications, 18+ age, and a willingness to work a variable schedule with potential 4, 6, or 8 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, based on demand.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• CPR/AED & First Aid certifications from recognized bodies required.
• Prior fitness and customer service experience strongly preferred.
• Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) strongly preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lb.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work demands.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative and creativity.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with participants and monitors equipment and participant safety.
• Welcomes members by greeting, answering questions, and inputting data into membership system.
• Performs facility maintenance and ensures cleanliness and stock in facilities and locker rooms.
• Understand and implement Emergency Medical Procedures throughout the facility.
• Demonstrate and instruct proper use of exercise equipment.

About the role

Looking to get into the fitness industry, then this is the opportunity for you. HealthFitness has a new opportunity for an on-call (number of hours per week based on demand) Fitness Floor Attendant to join our team within our client's corporate fitness center located in Horsham, PA! There will be opportunities to earn additional income from November 23rd - December 30, 2026 as we will be needing 4,6, and 8 hour shift coverage Monday - Friday.

Key Accountabilities

• Interacts with participants and monitors equipment and participant safety.
• Welcomes members by greeting, answering questions, responding to requests while at front desk and input data into membership system.
• Performs facility maintenance responsibilities; ensures facility, equipment and locker rooms are clean and always stocked.
• Understand and execute the Emergency Medical Procedures throughout the facility.
• Demonstrate and instruct on the proper use of exercise equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Adult CPR/AED & First Aid certifications from the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, or the American Safety & Health Institute will be required.
• Prior fitness and customer service experience strongly preferred.
• Computer application knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) strongly preferred.
• Physical demands require having the ability to lift up to 40 lb. weights for restacking.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
• Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity.

Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. The compensation range for this role is $19/hr - $21/hr. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
