Job summary

YMCA of Greater Waukesha County seeks a part-time Fitness Attendant at Tri County YMCA, Menomonee Falls, WI. You will oversee the fitness floor, guide members in equipment use, and help maintain a welcoming, safe environment.

Responsibilities include assisting members, ensuring equipment safety and cleanliness, and enforcing YMCA policies while modeling the core values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; must be 18+.
• Basic understanding of fitness facilities and equipment.
• First aid and CPR/AED certification required within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Create, facilitate, and maintain a welcoming, safe, and professional environment on the fitness floor.
• Instruct and assist members in proper equipment usage to help attain their personal fitness goals.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and fun fitness floor atmosphere.
• Interact with members regularly during shift to ensure questions are answered and that members are aware of additional resources such as branch programs and classes available.
• Inspect and ensure high standards of maintenance, cleanliness, and repair of fitness equipment. Daily cleaning of equipment is required. Report all maintenance issues promptly and as directed.
• Adhere and enforce all YMCA policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Act as a positive role model using the YMCA's core values of honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility.
