Job summary

Butler University in Indianapolis is seeking a part-time Fitness Floor Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe fitness environment and support the day-to-day operations of the Health and Recreation Complex.

You will engage with participants, educate them on policies, and uphold safety standards while providing excellent service. CPR/AED/First Aid certification is required or obtainable within 30 days, and reliable attendance is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with participants and staff.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe, clean, and functional exercise environment.
• Act as a resource for participants on programs and services offered by the Office of Recreation and Wellness.
• Provide great customer service to our members, including educating them on and enforcing policies.
• Work cooperatively with other areas of the department to achieve established goals.
• Follow all guidelines for routine cleaning, inspection, and preventive maintenance on exercise equipment.
