Job summary

China Lake Golf Course is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support skilled trades and keep fitness program equipment and facilities in peak condition. You will assist with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and general upkeep across the club's fitness areas.

Based at the California site, you will drive to sites as needed, maintain a safe work area, and follow environmental, safety, and housekeeping rules while supporting maintenance operations and equipment repairs.

Responsibilities

• Assist a higher grade maintenance worker to keep all fitness program equipment and facilities in peak condition.
• Support trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and related trades.
• Help maintain and repair doors, floors, walls, ceilings, windows, electrical switches and light fixtures, and bathrooms.
• Assist in repairs of fitness/recreation/mess equipment and related maintenance or custodial duties.
• Aid simple plumbing repairs: replace faucets, washers, toilet components, clear drains, and fix leaks.
• Help with light HVAC maintenance and intermediate equipment upkeep in the facility.
• Assist with minor electrical repairs to switches and boxes, and replace lights and fuses.
• Drive vehicles to and from work sites, warehouses, and dumps.
• Keep the maintenance area safe and clean and follow rules on safety and housekeeping.
• Support upkeep of fitness facilities, e.g., athletic fields.
