Westminster Bradenton, a vibrant life plan community near downtown Bradenton, is seeking a Fitness Employee to support our fitness program, including land-based and aquatics exercises.

The role focuses on assisting in fitness duties, coordinating classes, personal training sessions, data entry, and helping implement local wellness programs for residents.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2+ years in Fitness/Health/Wellness or related field.
• Nationally Accredited Personal Training certification preferred; senior fitness cert within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist fitness duties under the supervision of the Fitness Coordinator.
• Oversee operations and budgeting of the Wellness Dept to meet goals.
• Inspect fitness equipment and ensure safe operation.
• Conduct fitness classes per schedule and assist with seminars.
• Provide personal training and balance/core instruction.
• Enter monthly fitness data and member information into the system.
• Assist with Senior Fitness Testing and physician consent forms.
• Support local Wellness Programs for the community.

Westminster Bradenton, a beautiful life plan community located near downtown Bradenton is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our community as a Fitness Employee. Responsible for supporting the fitness program. Program includes land based and aquatics based exercises.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for supporting the fitness program. Program includes land based and aquatics based exercises.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster and its communities.

1. Assists in fitness duties by carrying out delegated, selected, duties under the supervision of the Fitness Coordinator.

2. Responsible for the strategic planning and operations of the Wellness Dept by implementing cost control measures and meeting budget goals.

3. Inspect and verify that fitness equipment is operating in optimal conditions and that residents/employees are properly operating the fitness equipment.

4. Conduct fitness classes following the schedule established by the Fitness Coordinator. Assist with the preparation of Fitness Classes and seminars.

5. Personal training class instruction based on schedule. Includes Balance and Core individual training.

6. Enter monthly fitness data and membership information into the fitness system.

7. Assist with the Senior Fitness Testing and the completion of Physician Consent Forms.

8. Assist with the implementation of local Wellness Programs for the community.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent; 2+ years in a Fitness/Health/Wellness or related field experience required.

Nationally Accredited Personal Training certification preferred. Must be able to earn an accredited senior fitness certification within 6 months of hire.

Experience in land-based and aquatics based exercises, and the instruction of various exercise equipment.

Ability to work with mentally and physically impaired residents.
