Westminster Bradenton is seeking a dynamic Fitness Employee to support the community's fitness program, including land-based and aquatics-based exercises. The role involves assisting with classes, personal training elements, data entry, and program coordination under the Fitness Coordinator.

Preferred qualifications include a Nationally Accredited Personal Training certification and the ability to obtain a senior fitness certification within 6 months.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Fitness/Health/Wellness or related field required.
• Nationally Accredited Personal Training certification preferred.
• Must be able to earn a senior fitness certification within 6 months of hire.
• Experience with land-based and aquatics exercises and equipment handling.
• Ability to work with residents who are mentally or physically impaired.

Responsibilities

• Assist in fitness duties under supervision of Fitness Coordinator.
• Support strategic planning and operations of Wellness Dept and budgeted goals.
• Inspect equipment and ensure safe operation.
• Lead fitness classes according to schedule and assist with class prep.
• Provide personal training instruction as scheduled (Balance and Core).
• Enter monthly fitness data and membership information.
• Assist with Senior Fitness Testing and physician consent forms.
• Support local Wellness Programs for the community.

Westminster Bradenton, a beautiful life plan community located near downtown Bradenton is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our community as a Fitness Employee. Responsible for supporting the fitness program. Program includes land based and aquatics based exercises.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for supporting the fitness program. Program includes land based and aquatics based exercises.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster and its communities.

1. Assists in fitness duties by carrying out delegated, selected, duties under the supervision of the Fitness Coordinator.

2. Responsible for the strategic planning and operations of the Wellness Dept by implementing cost control measures and meeting budget goals.

3. Inspect and verify that fitness equipment is operating in optimal conditions and that residents/employees are properly operating the fitness equipment.

4. Conduct fitness classes following the schedule established by the Fitness Coordinator. Assist with the preparation of Fitness Classes and seminars.

5. Personal training class instruction based on schedule. Includes Balance and Core individual training.

6. Enter monthly fitness data and membership information into the fitness system.

7. Assist with the Senior Fitness Testing and the completion of Physician Consent Forms.

8. Assist with the implementation of local Wellness Programs for the community.
