Job summary

Jersey Community Hospital Wellness Center in Jerseyville, IL, is seeking a capable professional to support the director in managing daily operations and maintaining facility standards.

You will orient clients, supervise the exercise floor, educate members on equipment use, and promote wellness programs to recruit and retain members; ongoing duties include coordinating programs and assisting with additional tasks.

Qualifications

• Degree required in fitness-related field.
• At least two years of related experience.
• Current certifications (ACE/ACSM/CPR) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist director with wellness center management and daily operations.
• Assist with client orientation.
• Supervise exercise floor and educate clients on equipment use.
• Market wellness programs to recruit and retain members.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in fitness related field
• Minimum of two years related experience
• Current certifications, (i.e. ACE personal trainer; ACSM health/fitness instructor; CPR).

Required Abilities/Skills:

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, decision-making, and leadership skill required.

Physical Requirements:

• Work is of medium to heavy demand.
• Routine lifting requirements up to 25 pounds
• Occasional lifting requirements up to 100 pounds.
• Lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, standing, sitting, bending and reaching required.
• Works inside.
• Exposure to warm and humid temperatures.
