Job summary

Orangetheory Fitness in Baton Rouge is seeking a passionate Fitness Instructor to lead our science-backed, technology-tracked workouts and serve as a brand ambassador for the OTF community. You will guide members through pre-defined workouts, ensure proper form, demonstrate equipment, and contribute to a welcoming studio culture that promotes health and personal growth.

Qualifications

• Must be fitness certified from an education company approved by Orangetheory Fitness.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current AED/CPR certification.
• Successful completion of the OTFit Certification Program.
• Solid understanding of strength and heart rate-based interval training.
• Experience in a fitness environment is preferred.
• Team player committed to growth and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Guide and motivate members through pre-defined workouts.
• Ensure members are using correct form and offer adjustments as needed.
• Demonstrate usage of equipment utilized for each workout.
• Perform basic cleaning and maintenance of the studio.
• Stay up to date on the science behind heart-rate-based training and industry trends.
• Build meaningful connections and create community within the studio and network.
• Help members set and achieve personal fitness goals and positively change lives.

Education

ACE, ACSM, ISSA, NASM, NSCA certifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

AED/CPR certification

OTFit Certification Program

Understanding of strength and heart-rate based interval training

Life of a Fitness Coach at Orangetheory:

• Guiding and motivating members through pre-defined workouts
• Ensuring members are using correct form and offering adjustments if needed

• Perform basic cleaning and maintenance of the state-of-the-art studio
• Understanding the science behind our strength and heart-rate focused training programs, and staying up to date on active fitness industry trends
• Building meaningful connections and creating community as you expand your personal brand and network within the fitness industry
• Positively changing the lives of others by helping members set and achieve personal fitness goals

Are you Qualified?

• Currently fitness certified from an education company approved by Orangetheory Fitness:
  • ACE, ACSM, ISSA, NASM, NSCA
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current AED/CPR certification
• Successful completion of the OTFit Certification Program
• Have a functional understanding of strength and heart rate-based interval training
• Experience working in a fitness environment (preferred)
• A team player committed to growth and excellence
