Job summary

Mozaic Senior Life is seeking a part-time Environmental Services worker to perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks on an evening shift, 4pm–9:15pm Mondays and Wednesdays, to keep the home clean, safe, and orderly for residents, staff, and visitors.

The role requires following established procedures, operating cleaning equipment, attending to daily tasks, and collaborating with supervisors to ensure a high-quality, pleasant environment across common areas, rooms and service spaces.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: 1–2 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicates issues and suggests improvements for procedures or workflow.
• Completes daily, weekly or monthly tasks with high quality.
• Cares for equipment and follows cleaning procedures for a clean, organized home.
• Responds to service requests for residents, staff or visitors to maintain a pleasant environment.
• Duties include dusting, disinfecting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and delivery of supplies.
• Cleans curtains, vents, walls, surfaces, windows and other areas as needed.
• Maintains utility rooms and storage areas in neat condition.
• Attends to daily special cleaning areas like elevators and bathrooms.
• Attends monthly/quarterly/annual meetings and follows safety procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

DUTIES:

Essential Responsibilities:

• 1.Communicates issues, concerns, and suggests ideas for improving procedures, or workflow.
• 2.Completes daily, weekly or monthly tasks, in a timely manner and with a high degree of quality.
• 3.Utilizes and cares for all equipment, and follows established cleaning procedures, to insure a clean, organized, and pleasant home for our residents, staff, and visitors.
• 4.Responds to requests for service concerning special functions, moving items, cleaning, or other needs required by residents, staff or visitors to create or maintain the quality environment of the Home.
• 5.Duties may include but are not limited to the following: dusting, disinfecting surfaces, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, removing trash, infectious waste, soiled linen, delivery of new linen, delivery or replacement of supplies.
• 6.Cleaning of cubicle curtains, vents, washing walls and flat surfaces, windows, washing wheelchairs, cleaning equipment, shower rooms, stripping & refinishing floors, or restoring floors.
• 7.Maintaining utility rooms, storage areas, and closets in a neat, clean, and orderly manner.
• 8.Attends to daily special cleaning areas such as elevators, public bathrooms, meeting rooms or trash around dumpster.
• 9. Attends monthly, quarterly or annual meetings and follows fire, safety, and emergency procedures.
• 10.Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Qualifications
• Education: High School Diploma/GED
• Experience: 1-2 years related experience
• Licensure:
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, staff, residents, and visitors. Able to handle multiple demands and meet deadlines. Skilled on all equipment and an understanding of environmental procedures.
