Responsibilities

• Assist guests with queries and information on Fitness Offerings and gym equipment.
• Open and close gym according to procedures.
• Provide orientation tours and explain sign-in procedures and spa amenities.
• Maintain a safe, clean fitness environment; wipe equipment and store items properly.
• Provide regular checks with guests to personalize service and anticipate needs.
• Stock gym amenities to standard par level (e.g., water, towels, snacks).
• Ensure gym storage area is stocked and clean; manage stock of water and towels.
• Assist Spa attendants with gym stock; track protein powder usage to maintain par level.
• Clean mats in Meditation Room, Exercise Room and Main Gym for hygiene.

FITNESS ATTENDANT

Sandy Lane Hotel, an AAA Five Diamond, Forbes Five Star exclusive resort and a member of Leading Hotels of the World, is seeking to recruit a Fitness Attendant.

The Role

The Fitness Attendant is responsible for orientating guests to the gym facilities and providing personal guest service.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Be responsible for keeping the gym facilities neat, clean and stocked with all amenities. making sure all equipment is cleaned after guest use
• Assist guests with any queries and provide guests with any information needed on Fitness Offerings and be able to answer questions on all equipment in the gym.
• open and close the Gym according to the Opening and Closing procedures as listed in the Fitness Game Plan
• Assist in providing an orientation tour when guests arrive in the gym, explaining sign in procedure and spa amenities offered and answering guests’ questions.
• Maintain a safe, clean fitness environment, wiping down gym equipment after guests' use and placing all free weights and other small fitness items used back in their stated area in order to promote safety and proper hygiene.
• Provide regular checks with the guests throughout their workout which promotes a more personalized service and is proactive in anticipating the guest needs.
• Stock amenities such as apples, Gatorade, headsets, cold towels, rolled towels and all other supplies to the standard par level as listed in the Fitness Game Plan.
• Ensure that the gym storage area that contains the gym fridge is always stocked with bottled water and cold towels and is kept clean at all times.
• Assist the Spa attendants with stock when ordered for the Gym
• Track the use of the protein powder ingredients to make sure that the correct par level is always maintained.
• Clean all mats in the Meditation Room, Exercise room and Main Gym so that the standard of hygiene is maintained.
