Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf seeks an Attendant, Fitness for Trilogy Valor Treasure Valley Social Club in Kuna, Idaho. You will support the fitness team, assist members at the front desk, and help maintain clean, well-stocked facilities.

Role requires 1–3 years in customer service and health/fitness, with strong communication. High School diploma preferred; must be flexible to evenings/weekends and able to lift up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years’ direct customer service and hospitality experience required.
• 1–3 years’ health and fitness related work experience preferred.
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledgeable in fitness club operations.
• Skilled in attentive customer service and calmly responding to guest concerns.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, portions, and percentages.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to respond to the needs and requests of staff members, guests, and the community association.
• Demonstrates initiative—ability to think, work, and make independent decisions, based on sound judgment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with continuous improvement.
• Flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the BlueStar Experience for members and guests by modeling and maintaining standards.
• Operate as part of a team handling daily operations, including opening/closing procedures and stocking.
• Maintenance and organization of equipment in Fitness and Locker Room areas.
• Replenishes supply of clean towels in Fitness and Locker Rooms during shift.
• Inspects and maintains Fitness stations for neatness and cleanliness.
• Demonstrates function of Fitness equipment and proper use.
• Welcome and check-in for members and guests at the front desk with excellent service.
• Provide feedback to managers about customer satisfaction.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of Fitness services and products and promote them.
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Pay: $18 per hour

Benefits

• New hourly full-time team members working 30 hours or more per week, will be eligible for the Company medical, dental and life insurance plans the first of the month following 60 days of full-time employment.
• Full-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off (“PTO”) in accordance with the Company policy at a rate of 120 hours per year.
• Full-Time team members are eligible for 7 paid holidays annually.
• Part-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Sick Leave in accordance with state guidelines.

Position Overview

The Attendant, Fitness assists the fitness staff to execute courteous service to members in the fitness area. This position reports to the Wellness Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the BlueStar Experience for members and guests by modeling and maintaining the standards set in the BlueStar 10 and adhering to BlueStar Resort & Golf (BSRG) and facility policies.
• Operate as part of a team handling daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, facility inspections and stocking, along with communicating facility maintenance needs.
• Maintenance and organization of equipment in Fitness and Locker Room areas.
• Replenishes supply of clean towels in Fitness and Locker Rooms throughout the shift.
• Inspects and maintains Fitness stations for neatness and cleanliness.
• Demonstrates function of Fitness equipment, proper use and techniques
• Welcome and provide a check-in for members and guests at the front desk, providing exceptional customer service and a desire to satisfy all customer inquiries and follow up.
• Provide feedback to managers about customer satisfaction and concerns to improve the overall operations.
• Develop in depth knowledge of all Fitness services and products, with the ability to promote them with enthusiasm to members and guests, and support them in making choices for their wellbeing.
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Work Environment

This position operates indoors and routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copy and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
