Job summary

Conservation International is seeking a Fisheries Technology Senior Coordinator based in Seattle (preferred) to scale Wi‑Fi connectivity for crew at sea and support the Offshore Fisheries Program. You will coordinate administrative tasks, travel, reporting, and cross‑team collaboration to advance a high‑impact, tech‑driven conservation initiative.

The role requires 2–4 years in fisheries or ocean tech, knowledge of onboard connectivity, strong organizational skills, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of work experience in fisheries, ocean technology, monitoring, control & surveillance, counter IUU fishing, or related field.
• Technical knowledge of Wi‑Fi systems and onboard technologies (EM, ER, networking, satellite internet).
• Strong organizational and time management skills; multitasking under pressure.
• Experience engaging with the seafood industry and seafood brands; bilingual/foreign language skills a plus.
• Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of crew Wi‑Fi and related technologies on fishing vessels, including logistics, planning, and stakeholder coordination.
• Manage travel logistics and planning for installations and training trips across geographies.
• Provide technical advice for onboard Wi‑Fi installations and monitoring; manage crew IDs and usage monitoring.
• Support contract processes, amendments, and sub-grants; assist in budgeting and reporting.
• Coordinate team convenings, prepare agendas, track progress, and produce internal/external updates.
• Develop program communications, maintain websites, and assist with events and travel reimbursements.
