Yakima Klickitat Fisheries Project (YKFP) is seeking a Fisheries Accounting Specialist I to oversee fiscal management of contracts and grants across federal, state, and tribal partners. The role ensures GAAP compliance and robust internal controls while aligning financial activities with the program's strategic goals.

Responsibilities include analyzing financial statements, preparing reports, monitoring expenditures against budgets, and supporting audit readiness.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, specializing in Accounting or related field.
• Three years of experience as a Bookkeeper V, demonstrating the ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Required to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
• Enrolled Yakama Preference, but all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee day-to-day financial activities for contracts and grants.
• Develop financial strategy with GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Prepare schedules and reports for internal and external distribution.
• Analyze accounting problems and prepare data-driven recommendations.
• Ensure contractor expenditures comply with contract requirements and budgets.
