Job summary

The role involves ground support for field crews, cruise prep, and post-cruise tasks, with opportunities to participate in outreach and research activities. A BS in marine-related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with basic laboratory protocol background.
• BS degree in marine science, fisheries science, oceanography, or closely related field.
• Experience in marine science or oceanography and aquatic field sampling using standard fishery techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field sampling and data entry for estuarine fish surveys.
• Perform data analysis and laboratory tasks including aging, diet studies, and tissue processing.
• Support field crews with cruise preparation and post-cruise cleanup; assist in outreach events.
