Job summary

Petland Corporate Stores in Chillicothe, OH is seeking a Fish Specialist who loves animals and enjoys helping customers find the right fish and aquarium setup.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all fish and fish habitats are cared for in a manner that best ensures pet health and customer safety.
• Maintains a high level of animal husbandry through proper opening, daily, and closing procedures by following checklists and procedures.
• Maintains a high level of customer service and sales in the Fish Department through the use of the Petland Mission, 5-Step Sale and 4-Basic Needs sheets.
• Maintains a high standard of appearance and professionalism.
• Ensures that fish health is monitored, and proper records are maintained.
• Maintains a high level of presentation by properly decorating and maintaining the tanks.
• Conducts regular fish inventories and maintains accurate related documentation.
• Purchases and prices fish as needed using internal tools and resources.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

• Prefer six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Sales or customer service experience required
