Job summary

Foodland Super Market, Ltd is hiring an Apprentice Fish Cutter for Market City on Hawaii's Oahu. This on-site, part-time role offers an hourly wage of $17.94 and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Evening and weekend availability are strongly preferred and on-island candidates only. As an Apprentice Fish Cutter you will stock and prepare seafood, assist customers, and help merchandise products while maintaining product freshness and inventory integrity.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to frequently lift, maneuver and/carry up to 75 pounds.
• Must successfully pass apprentice training program.
• Must have TB Clearance.
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements.

Responsibilities

• ensuring the seafood cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality seafood products for our customers
• receive, stock, cut, prepare, wrap, weigh, price, and attractively merchandise seafood department products
• proper inventory control and product rotation to maximize product freshness and availability, while minimizing waste
• attend the service case
• assist customers with special requests, and answer questions about our seafood products
• help increase sales by offering product samples and by recommending additional items.
• Fish cutters work with equipment like wrapping machines and knives.
