Job summary

Pacific Seafood is hiring a Fish Culturist in Nespelem. The role covers feeding, harvesting, and inventory duties across the farm operations.

You will monitor conditions, operate feeding systems, troubleshoot, and maintain assets while contributing to productivity and quality goals. The position requires at least two years of relevant experience, ability to read safety rules and write routine reports, and proficiency in Excel and Word.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years applicable experience.

• Ability to speak effectively before groups.
• Ability to apply algebra and geometry concepts.

Fish Culturist

Department: Aquaculture Farming

Reporting To: Dan Garrett

Compensation: $22.00 - $28.21 / hour

Summary:
The Fish Culturist will become familiar with all operations of the farm including feeding, harvesting, and inventorying.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times.
• Monitor feeding and environmental conditions.
• Learn and utilize computerized feeding systems and be able to troubleshoot when necessary.
• Maintain company assets in good operational condition.
• Work to continuously improve operations with respect to productivity, quality, safety, inventory levels and operating expense while utilizing effective aquaculture techniques.
• Must be able to work independently and within a team setting.
• Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to multi-task.
• Perform other duties, as assigned

What you bring to Pacific Seafood

Required:

• Minimum two years applicable experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Experience with Excel and Word.

Preferred:

• Experience in trout and/or net pen farming is preferred
