This is a dynamic, full-time, year-round position that is the face behind the counter for the Commercial Fisheries division of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game office in Ketchikan. This position will primarily interact with commercial, subsistence, and personal use fishery participants in the Ketchikan area in support of local and regional fisheries management, while providing a vital blend of public service, administrative support, and technical assistance, for management and research biologists. The Working Environment You Can Expect:

This position is in the ADF&G office in Ketchikan, on the second floor of the First Bank building next to the Plaza mall. It stays busy with a constant flow of in-person and phone interactions, data processing, permit issuance, and collaborative support for area management biologists, research biologists, and other seasonal personnel. This work will require the incumbent to coordinate and execute local errands to support programs and office needs including distribution of mail and in-town travel support for biologists and seasonal staff.
