As a Fiscal Technician, you will perform a wide-range of responsibilities such as analyzing and interpreting accounting records and methods and inputting a variety of accounting transactions into the computer accounting program. Work involves preparing invoices, ensuring provider services are reimbursed accurately and reflect the budgeted contract amounts as well as inputting payroll transactions and associated allocations for reimbursement. You will have the opportunity to assist the Fiscal Officer with completing the quarterly and annual reports for Behavior Health Intellectual Disabilities and Early Intervention and with the closing of accounts on a monthly and annual basis. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Importing files from databases into internal trackers for payment and coding
  • Processing weekly accounts payable check run
  • Reconciling bank statements and petty cash
  • Participating in agency productivity meetings
  • Collaborating with the fiscal team in regards to audit preparation and account analysis

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Occasional overnight travel or out of county travel for meetings or training may be required. Often irregular hours, including evening and weekends may also be required.
  • Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Fiscal Assistant or three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or
  • One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
