Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a finance professional to collect, analyze, and summarize the financial objectives of the clinical research office, coordinating contracts, budgets, expenditures, invoicing, and fiscal compliance.

You will develop reports, monitor budgets and KPIs, and provide guidance to investigators and collaborators to ensure effective use of resources across clinical research projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance required.
  • Masters degree preferred.
  • CPA preferred.

Collects, analyzes, and summarizes the financial objectives of the clinical research office to effectively collaborate in management of the overall financial operations for clinical research projects. Coordinates financial contracts, budgets, expenditures, invoicing, billing, patient expenditures, fiscal tracking, and overall fiscal compliance.

Essential Functions
  • Participates in the implementation of short-and long-term strategy initiatives for financial contracts, effective research budgets, expenditures, patient incentives, and fiscal tracking.
  • Develops and distributes accurate and timely information used to analyze current fiscal operations, aid in problem resolution, and create effective budget management.
  • Develops, generates, and monitors reports related to project enrollments, grant or fiscal management goals, and clinical trial enrollment. Provides feedback to the clinical research office, principal investigators, subsites, and the McConnell NEXT Consortium as needed.
  • Provides guidance and support to the McConnell NEXT Consortium to initiate research projects, develop effective research budgets and expense reporting, and implement new sub sites as collaborators. Identifies trends and developments and presents recommendations about financial data.
  • Assists with the organization and coordination of the clinical research office operating budgets. Assists with the ongoing analysis project reporting to collaborators, funding agencies, regulatory agencies, and any other collaborators involved.
  • Monitors key performance Indicators used to measure the efficiency of resource expenditures as well as the effectiveness of clinical research office operations.
Education Requirement
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or Health Administration, preferred.
Licensure Requirement

Certified Public Accountant, preferred.
