Job summary

Kings County's Human Services Agency is seeking a Fiscal Analyst I/II to support budgeting, analyze financial data, monitor expenditures, and ensure responsible use of public funds. You will collaborate with department leaders and grow into more complex financial responsibilities.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field; two years of accounting experience for I or II level; valid CA driver’s license and ability to qualify for security clearance.

• Fiscal Analyst I/II requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.

Responsibilities

• Reviews accounting and financial documents to ensure accuracy and preparations of correcting entries.
• Maintains and monitors grant funds and ensures compliance with rules and regulations.
• Prepares trial balances; coordinates and calculates periodic closings.
• Monitors expenditures, revenues, and budget allocations to determine financial status.
