The Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) seeks a full-time permanent Fiscal Analyst 4 (In-Training) in Olympia, Washington. This position may be eligible for partial to near full‑time telework.
OSPI oversees public K–12 education in Washington state, allocating funding and providing resources, tools, and technical assistance to every student. OSPI values employees and provides an environment that supports professional growth.
Fiscal Analyst 4 (FA4) serves as the technical lead for financial operations within the Child Nutrition Services (CNS) Financial Resources team. The FA4 ensures accurate reimbursement claims processing, federal reporting, audit resolution, and fiscal compliance across all USDA Child Nutrition Programs, including the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), and others.
The FA4 works independently under the general direction of the Director of Financial Resources and collaborates with program staff, auditors, and financial systems analysts to maintain strong internal controls, compliance, and operational integrity. The position supports over $650 million in annual federal and state funds administered by CNS.
The FY24 annual compensation depends on experience and qualifications. The Fiscal Analyst 3 classification is in Pay Range 55 ($61,644 – $82,872); the Fiscal Analyst 4 classification is in Pay Range 57 ($64,776 – $87,048).
