Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas is seeking an internal staffing RN resource to cover unplanned staffing needs across its acute care locations. The role requires a current North Carolina RN license and at least two years of full-time acute care experience, with BSN within five years.

Will be responsible for providing an internal nursing resource for unplanned staffing needs due to vacancies, leave of absences, patient census, patient acuity and employee call‑ins.

FirstStaff RN Resources will consist of two levels of clinical knowledge. Both levels are expected to work across all acute care locations of FirstHealth.

Level 1: Med/Surg, Intermediate Care, Outpatient, Surgical Admissions Unit, Women & Children Services.

Level 2: Critical Care, Emergency Room, Labor & Delivery, PACU

Minimum of 2 years current full time acute care experience required in clinical area. Current NC RN license. Line‑Safety certifications in BCLS, PALS and/or ACLS or other applicable specialty area certifications required.

To develop and maintain a highly educated registered nursing staff to meet the present and future demands of the nursing profession, employees who begin employment with FirstHealth of the Carolinas in a position that requires a registered nurse must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree within five (5) years of their employment date.
