Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP (FMG) invites law students graduating in 2027 to join its First-Year Associate Program in a hands-on litigation environment. You will gain practical experience working on complex matters and receive mentorship from seasoned attorneys across the firm.

As a First-Year Associate, you will handle meaningful responsibilities from day one, including client interactions and collaboration with partners to shape case strategy and advocacy skills for a successful legal career.

Qualifications

• J.D. anticipated in Spring 2027 from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Strong academic standing.
• Law review, legal journal, trial advocacy, judicial internships, moot court or other relevant experience preferred.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Defend and litigate lawsuits for a select range of practice areas and clients.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Draft motions, pleadings, discovery requests, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.
• Assist with depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
• Participate in client meetings and case strategy discussions.
