Job summary

The Sunshine House in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a part-time Childcare Teacher to help provide safe, nurturing early education for our youngest learners. You will engage children with purposeful activities, monitor safety, and support families as a partner in development.

Ideal candidates bring a passion for working with young children, meet education requirements, and are willing to participate in ongoing professional development and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• ECD 101 or a degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field.
• Ability to pass background checks and health assessments.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs for child safety.
• At least 30 days paid teaching experience in a DSS-licensed daycare setting required.

Compensation & Pay Range:

Starting at $17 per hour

Candidates with advanced education and experience in early childhood education may qualify for higher pay within the range. Regular increases are considered with additional education, stellar performance, and years of service.
