We are committed to excellence and facilitating the growth and development of both staff and students. Our focus is to provide an accessible, high-quality, and developmentally appropriate educational experience that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development for children 6 weeks and older in a nurturing environment. Our instruction emphasizes language and communication development through exploration, play, socialization, daily activities, and evidence-based curriculum activities.
The 4K First Steps Teacher is responsible for working with the Assistant Teacher to implement the Creative Curriculum, collaborate with the 4K First Steps Coach, generate weekly individualized lesson plans, conduct parent engagement activities, complete checkpoints across domains by deadlines, provide age-appropriate instruction, manage daily classroom operations, maintain children's hygiene, monitor health, behavioral, and emotional concerns, work with parents to support learning and socialization, assist with meal service, and teach school readiness skills. The Teacher ensures a safe, stimulating classroom environment and actively engages, encourages, cares for, and nurtures preschool students.
Ratio is 2 teachers to 17 students.
Paid training is provided throughout the year, including attendance at a 4K conference annually and other in-person and online trainings.
Shift is 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break.
