Job summary

Limitless Pediatric Solutions in Hardeeville, SC is seeking a First Steps 4K Instructional Assistant with 1 year of experience to support the Lead Teacher in providing developmentally appropriate activities for young children. This is a hybrid classroom role within the First Steps 4K program.

The role requires implementing the approved curriculum, planning weekly lessons, and maintaining communication with families.

Qualifications

• Two years of documented experience working with children under the age of five.
• Able to pass a Child Abuse and Neglect Registry background check.
• Completion of the Early Childhood Education Credential (EDC 101).
• CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Experience working in a play-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow all employer policies and procedures at all times.
• Create and implement weekly lesson plans in accordance with the First Steps 4K approved curriculum.
• Keep parents and families updated on their students’ daily activities and progress.
• Communicate with families on a daily or weekly basis through writing or face-to-face.
• Foster a classroom environment of safety and respect.
• Perform daily cleaning routines to keep facilities sanitary and safe.
• Attend all required First Steps 4K and SC DSS trainings and obtain required continuing education hours.

The First Steps 4K Instructional Assistant works directly with the Lead Teacher to provide developmentally appropriate activities that encourage healthy physical, social, and emotional development for students. *This is a hybrid classroom where students work with Clinical Treatment Providers as part of the First Steps 4K Program.
